Happy Holidays! Merry Christmas! Happy New Year! Season’s Greetings!
Wishing you Peace, Love, and Good Will! From Jack and Lorri!

This is a copy of the first Christmas card ever printed, dating from 1843. And this post is our first Christmas “card” to be “sent” over the Internet!
Dear family and friends,
We hope this finds you healthy, happy and enjoying life! Lorri and I have had a very nice year. Highlights included an epic trip to Ireland and England in the Spring. We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary in July. We spent a week back east in June and three more weeks in the Fall visiting with family and doing some exploring. We made two trips to the California Central Coast for relaxing and wine-tasting. We’ve enjoyed our home near the beach in Encinitas, and we had many enjoyable happy hours with our friends in the Encinitas Yacht Club!
Time keeps flying by! The grandkids, Mal and Jake, and nieces Ashley and Sara, are all in their thirties, and the great grandkids seem like they have a birthday every year! Oh yeah, I guess they do! Liv is eight and Sloane is four already! Daughter Debbie and son-in-law Mike are at the age when they probably wouldn’t be happy if I were to mention here how old they are! But they are doing well (for their age)! Little great-nephew Leo is a year-and-a-half! Sadly, our brother-in-law Steve (little Leo’s granddad) passed away unexpectedly in August. Lorri’s sister Lynn is doing well, though, and spends a lot of time helping Ashley and Frank with Leo. Here’s some happy news: niece Sara and Dustin are getting married! Dustin proposed earlier in December, and the wedding is set for somewhere, sometime in the future. They’ve been together four years – no need to rush into anything.
Lorri and I are doing well. We have our share of aging Boomer ailments but nothing serious, just enough to complain about to our friends at happy hour. Lorri goes to the gym almost every day and I still play tennis (no pickleball, thank you!) and stay active, so neither of us have any need for Ozempic. Yet.
We wish you all a very happy holiday season and a joyful, peaceful, healthy, and prosperous New Year. Merry Christmas and Cheers to 2026!
